In it’s 32nd year, the MECC provides an informal forum for scientific exchange and collegial interactions among researchers working on the forefront of chemistry, enzymology, and the interface of biomedical science. The one-day conference is held annually on a rotating basis through the Chicago area. The MECC attracts academic and industrial researchers from over a dozen states in the Midwest, ranging from Minnesota to Texas and Nebraska to Maryland. Posters are welcomed from all participants, but not obligatory. Oral presentations are selected from the submitted abstracts, and feature junior faculty, postdoctoral fellows, and graduate students.
