Information & Registration

POSTERS

In preparing posters, please include a photo of the presenting author (4” x 4” or 10 cm by 10cm) in a top corner, so that people studying your poster can find you in the crowd. This is optional.

Poster board sizes are 4’ high x 8’ wide with two poster presentations per board. We recommend a poster size of 4’ wide x 4-6’ high.

Poster boards will be assigned numbers, so please locate your assignment in the abstract book and mount your poster accordingly. Posters can be mounted in the morning or during the lunch break.

There will be a prize for the best poster: An autographed copy of “Enzymatic Reaction Mechanisms” by Perry Frey and Adrian Hegeman!

ABSTRACT SUBMISSION

Final deadline is September 21!

Abstracts can be submitted to mecc2012@uic.edu.

Abstracts should be single page Microsoft Word files, roughly 250 words or less, in 12pt Ariel font, include a descriptive title, all author names (with the presenting author capitalized), show all affiliations, and contain only grayscale schemes and/or figures where necessary.

REGISTRATION

We ask that everyone register for the conference. Please send an email to mecc2012@uic.edu to register. In order to enable students and postdoctoral fellows to attend, NO registration fee is required.

LUNCH

We will charge $10 for those requesting a box lunch. Only checks or cash can be accepted for the lunch charge, and should be mailed to

In addition, there are several restaurants nearby on Taylor Street well within walking distance. We highly recommend taking the walk rather than buying the box lunch. You can easily walk to a good venue within minutes.
